I'm helping my sister build her college list, and we're trying to be as realistic as possible.

Here are her stats:

• Texas resident
• GPA: 2.9/4.0
• SAT: 1250
• Interested in business-related majors such as MIS, Finance, Business Analytics, Economics, or similar.

Right now we're considering:

• UNT
• Texas State
• UTSA
• UTD
• Texas Tech
• University of Houston
• Sam Houston State

A few questions

1. Are there any other Texas schools we should seriously consider?
2. Would you recommend applying directly to business/MIS, or are there majors that are easier to get into with similar career outcomes?
3. Has anyone with similar stats been admitted to any of these schools recently?
