So this is my 1st time to Iceland, and 1st time anywhere international other than Mexico (I'm from California).

Is it just a luck of the draw as far as getting screened, etc and how long it takes to get out of the airport?

I land on the 9th of Aug (eclipse tourist) at 9am

Make sure gear is ready for a long adventure day

Drive to Katla+ Silfra leave by 0630 for 1045 tour 0830 for 1300 tour

Return around 1900-2100

Offload images put batteries on chargers

Get gear prepped for eclipse and pack for checkout

Bed by 0000

Checkout and hit the road- noon

Shark museum

Start studying local weather patterns starting July 20

Why do all the kitchens in OB-PB-La Jolla close at 10pm or earlier!?!

Do they not like money?

They leave an absurd amount of money on the table by not taking orders until 1215

Why aren't food trucks taking advantage?

TLDR I'm hungry and the only options are local taco shop, pizza, or cook

And yes I know, my steak does not have enough butter
