Why do you think lower rates will help you buy a home?

Look. You better pray for high rates! If rates come down ,the prices go up instantly 20-50% after the last bad 4-5 years. If you cant afford now ,you will not afford later at all. You will have to outbid 50 other buyers. This is literally the best time to buy RE.

How do people survive in Dublin with those rent prices?

I just checked the rent prices in Dublin on daft and they are brutal. Not only Dublin but other small shitty cities too. One salary isnt even enough to pay the rent. Isnt there any rent cap?
