Pcos, glp1, metformin

Looking for I guess a little advice and see if anyone else has a similar experience.

I have PCOS, I have since I was about 18 when I was diagnosed. I am of normal weight, this is the first time in A LONG TIME. I have gained and lost weight so many times over my life. I have been on and off metformin since I was 18. I was off of it when I was pregnant. Once I stopped nursing I started it again. This time it felt like it was not doing anything for me.

I am a year and a half postpartum at this time. I had to beg my doctor to check my levels overall. My A1c came back at 5.6. It is not too high but my family is all diabetic except for me. I don’t want to become a diabetic. She told me she wouldn’t help me until I am prediabetic.

I stated that I would not wait until that was the case. I have waited 3 months to meet with an endocrinologist. I meet next week finally to talk about what should be suggested. In the mean time, I paid for a GLP1. I was on 7 weeks of Mounjarno 2.5. It did WONDERS. Let me also add that I workout/ run 4-5 days a week and eat decently healthy. I feel some days I do not eat enough because I am terrified to gain weight. I gain weight SO easily so I tend to be afraid to eat.

My IBS symptoms disappeared, the swelling in my hands and feet, the numbness and tingling m sensations gone, sugar cravings gone.. I am currently off of it. 1 week off at this time and I notice that my IBS symptoms are back, and my numbness and tingling in my hands and feet are back.

I am wondering if the endocrinologist will approve of me going back on this or will what would be suggested.
