Hi everyone,

I'm going to be entering first year of the Compressed Nursing program at Western, and I was hoping to seek clarifications about the program.

Questions:

1. Is the workload heavy in first vs second year?
2. Would it be possible to manage the workload during first year, while having a part-time job? If so, what days/time would be best to work?
3. Is first year mainly online courses, and how many days a week do you have to be on campus for classes/labs?
4. Any tips to get 4.0?

Hello everyone,

I would appreciate your help with a question. I am currently a full-time post-secondary student, but I will be entering a different, new program in September.

I plan to have two jobs during the 4 months summer, and hope to make between $4000 to $5000 per month for summer only (20k total). I know that income during the summer is exempted as a student, but I am wondering if there’s a limit to how much I can make without it affecting my ODSP status (as a student)? Will this amount cut me off?

I won’t be able to work at all during the school year, and summer is the only time I am able to work.

Also, if I am working as an independent contractor, would ODSP allow it if I subtract business expenses from my total paystub, and report only income?
