no appetite+giving energy?

i've been on gabapentin for around a month now. i've seen people talk about the weight gain but it's actually done the opposite.
i also understand it's a sedative almost, but i don't get tired. i feel calm, but have energy to do something. i feel more light on my feet
i'd say my memory is only a little impacted. i live with brain fog without it though

i was wondering if anyone else has these symptoms and/or experienced any other less common symptoms!!

will my psychiatrist be upset with me for taking more than prescribed

help!!! my psychiatrist prescribed me 1-2 pills of gabapentin a day(as needed, 300-600 mg). i hadn't felt much but saw the potential, i took 3 pills(not everyday, just as needed on days with higher anxiety) which is 900 mg, spaced throughout.

question one:
will i get in trouble/will my psychiatrist not think this is appropriate/be upset/view me as reckless? i feel like i seem sus😭 but i did some research on it's bioavailability, i want it to do its best job. was looking for fuller relief which did improve somewhat with the extra 300 mg.

question 2:
im not sure how to go about being firm about asking for a higher prescribed dosage? bc i feel the potential in this med already.

pls any answers would be awesome this is my 1st psychiatrist i've had as an adult :)
