Looking for GC/Handyman recommendations (Sanford / Seminole County) for home purchase repairs

Hey everyone,

My sister-in-law is buying a home in the Sanford / Seminole County area and needs to get some specific repairs quoted ASAP.

We are looking for a General Contractor, licensed professional, or a qualified handyman to help her tackle a punch list.

We are completely flexible on how the project is managed. We are open to:

  • A professional who completes the work themselves.
  • A GC who manages the job via their own subcontractors.
  • A licensed pro willing to pull applicable permits and supervise/review the work if we complete some of the labor ourselves.

Timeline & Payment Details:

  • Quotes: Needed ASAP before her closing.
  • Start Date: Work will start immediately after closing (September 1st).
  • Payment: This is tied to a county program. Payout will be issued directly by Seminole County within 15 days of the work being completed and approved.

The Punch List:

  • Concrete: Sidewalk is cracked and needs to be leveled or grinded flat.
  • Plumbing: Replace 40-gallon electric water heater and replace main water supply shutoff valve.
  • Doors & Windows: Fix one panel on a French door that won't open (broken latch?) and replace glass on one window due to a broken seal.
  • Electrical & Appliances: Check and tighten electrical outlets and install an anti-tip bracket on the stove.
  • Exterior: Replace and paint exposed/oxidized fasteners on the Hardie plank siding. Scrape, prime, and paint the front exterior fascia.

If you are a licensed pro who can handle this list, or if you have a great recommendation for someone in the Sanford area who is comfortable with county payout structures, please drop their info below or send me a DM.

Thanks in advance!
