I was just handed an uneven number of audio and video files recorded separately. The camera used the built-in mics which are really low quality and decent audio was recorded on a Zoom F1.

I need to synchronize all of these without using the synchronize function in Premiere. I don’t know what audio file belongs to what video file.

I once used Pluraleyes for something like this, but it appears to be gone from history entirely. I don’t have an old copy or an old license of the program. It was awesome. I could pretty much dump all of my audio and video files together and it figured out what audio belongs to its video file.

This is not how I would shoot. I’m editing, and this is what was handed to me. So I’m not looking for feedback on process. I am looking for feedback on how to solve this without having to watch / listen to match the files and then sync.

I do not have a Resolve or Final Cut license.

If you’ve got a process for doing this in Premier, please let me know. If you’ve worked with other software that functions like Pluraleyes, that’s great info, too.

Hi all. Lots of Tooaz threads in here but can’t find this specific topic.

I’m editing concert footage, and one of the critical angles is out of focus for one long clip of about 20 minutes. It’s not HORRIBLY out of focus but not usable. The focus is a few feet to the back of the guitarists and is focused on the drummer. The camera is locked on a tripod, and it’s a low-light setting. The musicians are not running around the stage, but there is constant motion. Filmed in 24 fps in 4k. I can deliver in 1080 but planned on a 4k delivery.

Does Topaz - or any other software - have the ability to use AI to try to restore the image? I could cut it to the shorter individual clips of 15-30 seconds to process but would prefer to have the full 20 minutes to choose from.

This seems like a process a little more advanced than simple upscaling.

Any wisdom or guidance you can share from your experience is much appreciated. I’m not afraid to buy a subscription or license and don’t need it to be free. If it is free, even better!

Again, it’s not horribly out of focus, but it is out of focus. I really want to preserve this angle at all costs.

Been shooting for six years, tripods have always been given to me. Never liked any of them.

I run the fx3 in a cage on neewer rails, d-tap battery on the back of the rails so it sits over the shoulder. I don’t know how much the full rig weighs. I’d guess 12-15 lbs.

The new Smallrig carbon tripod with the trigger looks awesome.

AI tells me I need a 75 mm fluid head if I want smooth pans and tilts.

Everything in the world is expensive now. I’d love to get into something for under $300. That smallrig is $600 but might be worth it.

I’d love to have it all for really cheap but also understand you can’t have champagne taste on a beer budget.

Who likes what? And how much do you like it?
