Nice pollack, cod and coalfish from norway

Some pics from my last norway trip. No big halibuts, but no shortage of cod, coalies and a pb pollack (95cm)

Big monkfish in Norway!! (19kg)

Probably the craziest catch of my life. While fishing a deadbait for halibut at 50 meters, i got a hit and set the hook. It was heavy but the fish gave zero fight. At some point I doubted if it was a fish at all. When I saw this thing come up I screamed at my buddy for the gaff. I had never eaven seen a monkfish in my life, and I got quite some attention from other fishermen at camp. Quite possibly a once in a lifetime on rod and reel.

First Meter-pike of the season!

First fish on the first outing of the pike season. A nice strong meter-pike (101cm) took my lure and made my day.

Some nice grayling from Norway last year

Grayling caught in Femundsmarka national park on wet flies and floated worms. Beautiful and tasty fish. Not as tasty as trout or char but definitely worth a meal.

PB mirror carp from the park

Lost a nice one yesterday so this was my redemption fish. 85 cm guesstimated at about 10-12kg (scale left at home). About 100m from my house. Caught on corn.
