I picked this up from the hardware store nursery and haven't killed it yet

I just found this subreddit and wanted to share some progress pictures of my first (only) desert rose from when i got it a couple of years ago to it's current state after reporting it last week.

Cleaned up the circling roots and gave them some new substrate. I'm still learning what to do and how to take care of these, not even sure if they're considered shito or mame, but they seem to be happy and thriving.

I followed some really good advice and was able to get this blue belt to recover from last year to this year but now it's having some issues again. Not sure what's causing the leaves to discolor or develop spots like this and I really don't want this tree to die. Any help would be appreciated!
