I hate the circus
I was sitting in the middle of an empty circus tent. It was dead quiet and dark until the troupe master came out. He was this short, fat man with rosy cheeks, and a curly mustache. He is clearly happy to be there, I remember him smiling ear to ear throughout the whole thing. He brings out four men, a fat turkish guy, a vaguely latino man with a teardrop tattoo under his right eye, and two twins. And they just begin dancing. It's this awkward unchoreographed dance like you'd see at an elementary school play. They do it for hours, all the while the Troupe master is having the time of his life, laughing and telling them to go faster. I notice that the men are beginning to cry, and I start to think that they aren't in control of their bodies. Eventually they leave, dancing their way out, still crying. I'm just left sitting in the dark tent thinking about what I saw until I see the thing across from me. On the other side of the tent, is a vague human form laying on one of the benches. It's a puppet, a human sized, fully articulated puppet. It has no paint or varnish, and no way for it to move. It just sits there, but I get the feeling that it's alive. And it hates me. That was enough for me to finally wake up.
