Help me pick a cruise line?

My husband’s parents, sister and a friend would like to try cruising to Alaska next year or 2028.

Background
My husband and I cruise frequently and live in Seattle. We have been sailing on Virgin the past 4 years but have previously sailed on RCL and NCL.

Sister- took a carnival cruise pre pandemic and hated every second of it. She had vowed to never cruise again but is willing to try one more time if the family goes. Would be bringing our lifelong friend who has also only cruised once but like 20 years ago.

In laws- have never cruised, my MIL is terrified of deep water and of being motion sick. She actually requested this as our next trip and I was totally shocked. I actually think they will love it as they are very lazy in the mornings and hate to be rushed. They want to slowly explore, eat at odd hours and be close to bed.

I don’t believe my in-laws would like VV. I think it might be “too much” for them. Us “kids” are 37/38 and my in-laws are mid 60’s. It can’t be too much of an older crowd or I’ll be bored and so will my SIL and friend. Good food is a must and a drink package would be appreciated but not necessary. Ports don’t matter as much because we have been a few times and it would be all new for the rest of the party. Seattle embarkation would be easiest since we are here and everyone could fly in but would also consider Vancouver. Ideas? Im not trying to sell anyone on cruising forever but I do want my SIL to have a better time than on Carnival and I want my in-laws to have a positive experience. Price wise I’m thinking a couple thousand per person for a 7 day? Any advice would be appreciated. This is stressing me out.

Pay me $1600 to rent my house and care for my pets

Local woman requesting someone pay her $1600 a month to sublet, care for 2 cats and a high energy border collie. Hundreds of comments that did not disappoint and she is still in there going head to head with people as of 15 minutes ago. Please won’t someone think of her dream vacation that she can’t afford?!

I can’t eat anymore oatmeal

I have been actively losing weight and have upped my fiber intake already but I recently had lab work that showed elevated cholesterol. My Dr has given me 3 months to lower it but I’m already vegetarian. I am so burnt out on oatmeal, I have tried all way to consume it. baked, overnight, steelcut, rolled etc. I used to like oatmeal but now the thought of another spoonful is making me sick.

What else are we eating? help
