A different take on the legendary birds!

A different take on the legendary birds!

I opened about 20 of these ETBs between 2020-2023, and here’s one of my PSA10 copies. I found this image on Google, and it’s one of the few examples of AI artwork that isn’t completely slop, and made a card out of it!

The stained glass art is iconic, hence my 9 PSA 10s, but I do love this refreshing take!

Charizard and Arcanine!

These two pokemon have never been in an artwork together, so I changed that!

Print process is foil sticker paper, perfectly aligned with 40% opaque laser printed vinyl with white toner. Then printed by my inkjet. Total of two sticker layers on top of a base energy card. Then I used a paintbrush to paint resin so it has a brushstroke texture, which shows itself in the way the holo shines!

NOTE: Base art is original, Charizard was ai assisted to be put in the sky. Took a dozen tries for it to look even remotely passable.

Saw one of these at a card show this weekend. Decided to make my own and save $6k

Obligatory for my own collection. Part of the beauty of this hobby is not having to cave to the pressure of spending thousands on cardboard (unless you truly want to fork that money!)

I’d rather buy my kid a car for 6k personally.

A user here (EDIT: u/severe-regular-4103 on Reddit showed their designs for this Rayquaza and Mewtwo in a Mega Attack Rare. I want to give credit to them but I can not find their old post. I liked it so much I made a card out of it.

If anyone can help I’ll be thankful as they’re quite talented. Rayquaza needs a mega attack rare!

Btw u/severe-regular-4103 if you want this card dm me and I will send it to you.

A twist on many processes shown and practiced by card makers on this sub. I stumbled upon this because I wanted to avoid using white toner in proxies I use for my decks.

In essence you see three layers:

Layer 1: blank non holo card stripped of ink, leaving the white card stock surface

Layer 2: transparent holographic vinyl

Layer 3: transparent vinyl layer printed via Icolor 560.

Pros:

-consistency in opacity all throughout the card kind of like a SV/MEG Illustration rare. Perfect for proxies (I know basic EXs are cheap but I like my decks blinged and pretty)

-Time saving, completely removes manual opaque application

- Looks pretty nice :)

Cons:

- Holo pattern is slightly off (beam pattern is there but looks different)

- Holo pattern is ever so slightly weaker and adopts the same hue as the ink on top, instead of a silver holo shine

- Card is 80 microns thicker than stock Pokémon cards (~33% thicker)
