I’m going out of town and I have cats. I live on what would be considered a “family compound” in a separate home across the way. I told my parents please don’t worry about the cats I have a service coming out to care for them. I don’t want my elderly parents worrying about the litter, the food, or remembering to make sure the door is closed. I have security systems and live in a safe place. When I told them you would have thought I hired a band of cat burglars instead of cat sitters. They were terrified that they would be robbed blind if I let some one on the property or even know where we live. Then I was called irrational for even considering it and unable to recognize safety. Like what the shit. No one is going to steal your garden gnomes. I promise. It was so unhinged.
