I bought this lovely late 1800s English teapot recently and I noticed the shape of the seams was like a square zig zag. I figured this must be normal. I was watching a video of people making hard candy and the giant copper vessel they use to heat the liquid sugar also had these kind of seams. I tried searching but since I don't know what they are called I had no luck at all.

I happened to come across a video (not in English and no subtitles) of someone repairing a type of yazid copper pot and they used this kind of notched method to attach a new piece of copper to the bottom after cutting out the old one. Is this just a type of reinforced overlapping seam? I would love to know more about the technique!

The first picture is of the bottom of the teapot where you can see the edge has that sort of square zig zag seam. The area below the spout also has this seam shape. The last picture is just a nice photo of the makers mark and spout seam which is smooth.

I've been struggling with seb derm and folliculitis for about a year now. I'm using a Clotrimazole betamethazone cream prescribed by my dermatologist, but after the flaky seb derm patches cleared up, I started having these weird hard bumps on my skin. They aren't scabs and they are firm like scar tissue, and when I scratch them off they usually have a little bit of something in them and a hair follicle. They bleed a lot if I use a sterile needle to lance them but they don't hurt and no pus or anything comes out of them. They aren't full of liquid and they aren't painful. I have them around my eyebrows too. What is this?? Is anyone else suffering from these weird bumps and how do you get rid of them?

Spotted around 11am from rooftop in NW Washington DC facing north east. We were up there to see the flyover.

The swirly shapes in the bottom half of the photo caught my eye. Zoom in to see them better.

What kind of clouds are these and why do they form? It is quite chilly (58F) and rainy this morning.
