Another Day, Another 12 Million to Line the Mayor's Pockets
In a move surprising absolutely nobody, the City and RTC have agreed to spend an additional 12 million dollars on their pet project. I live right off of Basic and Boulder Highway and get to experience the madness that is traffic slowed down to one lane with no work going on, Basic being closed, a roundabout being added to the VanWagenen and Pacific intersection (shutting down a choke point for getting out of downtown for a whole month), and now this shit. RTC determined that having busses run in the middle lanes (which eliminated a car lane across the project) is not feasible due to training. This adds more bus stops and more nonsense to have to deal with. I have one question for City leadership; given that RBH was supposed to increase business access, make driving and walking safer, and increase the ability for busses to traverse the road, how many businesses have shut down during this project? Not to mention, the bus stops will now block traffic on Boulder Highway. Another shit show project, another abject failure of leadership.
