Hi is anyone able to give any advice please. I’m on week 11 and although it was way worse initially, I’ve seen no change for the last 5 or 6 weeks. I’m trying to work out if I can justify the cost of seeing a specialist for them to cut it out as my GP won’t refer me to nhs and said the private cost including consultation will be about £800 :( it’s so hard to know if it will clear up on its own, it’s been 11 weeks of this and it was way worse initially but it’s not changed for the past 6 weeks or so..

GP also said cutting it wound be likely to scar so I’m wondering if anyone has a bad scar from surgery? She said it’s probably just taking a long time to settle after infection (it was badly infected to begin with). Thanks!
