Question for new estys
Does school legit teach the bare minimum for facials? Every facial I’ve had from a new esthetician is so basic it’s awful. No massage, not even touching my décolleté, barely even removing the products from my face, and just sitting there while the mask sits.. What am I paying for then? The last 2 I went to didn’t even cleanse, exfoliate or put the mask on my upper lip area. I’m kinda baffled. Seasoned estys that I’ve been to understand the importance of massage, and making it an experience. I am one of those. But I have known the importance since the very beginning so is training just different now or have I just ended up with ones that are bad at facials?
I am an esthetician btw and have been for a long time, and I mainly do facials and get a lot of compliments on them, my massage in particular.
