Moved to Germany. Accidentally became emotionally attached to Lidl bakery.

So apparently I moved to Germany, started studying International Management & Sustainability, survived German bureaucracy (partially), burnt rice in a pressure cooker at least twice, and now I’ve realized something:

I genuinely don’t know enough people here.

I’m from India, currently living in Nürnberg, and somewhere between applying for finance jobs, learning German, figuring out why supermarkets close so early, and trying to understand whether Germans actually enjoy sparkling water or are collectively pretending… I thought maybe Reddit could help.

A little about me:

- Into finance, business, sustainability, psychology, random deep conversations, and occasionally overthinking my entire life at 2 AM.

- Can talk about careers, startups, culture shifts, gym, food, football, or why LinkedIn feels like a dystopian roleplay platform.

- Currently trying to build a life here instead of just “existing abroad.”

- I appreciate people who are genuine, curious, ambitious, funny, or at least capable of tolerating sarcasm.

Honestly, I’m looking for:

- German friends

- international friends

- people to explore cafés/cities with

- career-minded people

- maybe even someone who can help me stop translating German sentences word-by-word in my head.

If you’re around Nürnberg/Munich/Bavaria or honestly just relate to this post somehow, text me.

Worst case:

we exchange memes and disappear.

Best case:

I finally stop feeling like a side character in my own relocation story.
