If you're gonna go on TikTok, then there are some cautions you might wanna take

On TikTok, I kind of saw something regarding Ryan and Dylan (I don't think it will be hard to guess), just sayin' there are some things to steer clear of there, that is, if you dare (I don't want to show you any links or screenshots lest they break the Reddit rules).

This might just be me, but I felt like the 9th arc of OG Tobot was the last arc of its kind. In fact, I consider arcs 1 to 9 its own narrative saga.

Let me explain. I felt like the first 9 arcs focused more on simple, internal life, in just a local setting. While it also had intense, dark moments, it was still somewhat more down-to-earth and slightly leaned in more on typical life lessons such as trust, true heroism, humility, not being scared to take chances, and the true key to bringing light to the darkness. Arc 9 kind of symbolized how these simple themes can pay off in the end, as you keep all of them in your mind as the key to defeating the dark (that is basically mind power; the thing used to defeat Acnee).

I felt like ever since then, the 10th arc and onwards, in addition to most of the main cast changing clothes and moving to a new community, marked a new overarching saga. I felt like while the life lessons are still there, and the series is still somewhat down to earth, we start to see more mainly bigger themes and problems that are getting a slightly more equal amount of spotlight, the kind that are more crucial to be addressed, such as discrimination (Layla’s mom), shady business, scandals, framing (Limo’s dad being framed by Angela), more insight of Chaebol-like societies, the list goes on. From the 10th arc and onwards, I feel like the Tobot protagonists are somewhat more active in solving problems and investigating (take, for example, Dolly, Dylan, and Officer Oh), while still showing how the past life lessons learned from before, even apply to the most crucial of situations.

Additionally, I feel like the Expedition Plotline (The Nilliri Plotline) focused more on spreading that care, love, and growth, and applying it to far more alternative settings, such as gaining trust in a different village/community in the countryside, or newcomers such as Liam and Noah.

So, here is how I would organize the storyline of OG Tobot:

Transforming Car Tobot Series Storyline:

  • Wave 1 (2010–2014):
    • First Saga (Arcs 1~9) (2010–2012) → This saga focuses more on simple, down-to-earth life lessons and how these truly pay off in bringing light to darkness
    • Second Saga (Arcs 10~16) (2013–2014) → While this saga also perfectly focuses on life moments, it also introduces more societal issues, showing how these life lessons still apply to such crucial moments
  • Wave 2: Tobot Expedition (Arcs 17~19.5) (2015–2016) → This wave shows how you can spread these life lessons and virtues above and beyond, even in introductions of unfamiliar environments, such as meeting someone new from faraway or coming to a far more local, unfamiliar community or environment
