Very nice paper in my opinion, how did anyone else who did the deferred paper find it?
.
The Dublin Strike and Lockout came up in the DBQ, the 40 marker was very general
I like that the Eucaristic Congress Appeared! It was so nice the phrasing, it asked How did the Eucaristic Congress shape both Cultural and Historical identity for Ireland as a member of the church.
Belfast and WWII came up too, I didn't do this.
The Coleraine University Contraversy came up which was nice. So did Terrance O Neil, and the Apprentice Boys.
In Dictatorship and Democracy, I liked the way that the Jarrow march explicitly came up. It asked how the JM impacted Britain's image to the world.
Stailins Show trials also appeared, it was about how he used tactical forces to create forces in Soviet Russia.
In America I was happy to see Vietnam, Martin Luther King JR and also the space race. There was also a culture question about life in America to include impact on everyday life.
Overall so happy. How did everyone else get on?
Bravo!
When I turned the paper over I was delighted to see the first comprehension, about the love of music. Surprisingly comprehension 2 I felt was easier, as it was about an aunt who had a little girl who had lost her mum, which I'm going through something similar so I found it quite nice to write on. However I turned over to see Q1 written and, a bit of a shock, no recit? I know it's not guaranteed and to be fair it's been on every year since 2021. The question I did was about the importance of a hobby in everyone's life. I managed to glance at the other options which were about caring for family members do you think people should be awarded and the other one discussed your opinions on music in Ireland.
Q2 was a nice diary entry, it was about writing about the end of your exams and what plans you had for next year. I really liked this question (who wouldn't?). I did not do Q3 but I was shocked to see A Formal Letter appear? Normally if it comes up, it's an email. It was an interesting way of looking at the rise of concerts, it looked at writing a formal letter about the impact of concerts on your local area.
Q4, I did as an extra question at the end, my teacher encouraged us to do that, so I decided to try this one which was about progression to college and about different ways of getting places in life and do I think we're doing enough? , which I decided to do.
Q5 was an opinion piece about Sport and the impact of the world cup, but I did not choose this one. I saw Q6 was a nice question about Whether technology was a positive or negative impact in schools.
How did everyone else find it?
How are we doing?
How did everyone find them?
How did everyone find it? I thought that the Short Q's were nice, no surprises. Reminded me of last year's main paper.
Omg I'm so happy he came up today! How is everyone else who did the exam feeling? (Deferred)
Kinda stressin

I'm so happy with Home Ec!
We had to return the document at the end for section c, but I can remember the following:
The short questions were ok, I thought similar to the real exam. Microbiology appeared, and so did Carbohydrates, Safe food and a nasty food spoilage one. The recycling logo appeared too. (I can't remember them all).
I saw for Q4 Core (I didn't do I did my social studies elective) that Part 1 was The Irish Food Industry, then the second was a mix of a budget plan and a family day out (didn't really look at it) and then finally I did note that food preservation and soups sauces came up in a nice mixed question together for Part 3.
The Q1 in section b, was a really niche one, it was Calcium with an add on of Vitamin C at the end and Osteoporosis. I actually did prepare a bit on it and happened to cover it the other day, lucky me! The question also incorporated food choices which played to my strengths. Overall a bit surprised but not shocked. Glad it wasn't a B vitamin!
Question 2 was Eggs which I liked and I thought there was a nice option for me. It asked about Properties and then culinary uses so I was happy. I saw Question 3 was sweeteners and food additives, not one I saw coming and so I avoided it. Question 4 I didn't do either but I saw savings appeared and i didn't do it as i'm a fan of social studies Q5. Namley Q5 was nice , one about protecting our children and the importance of the family as a caring unit ECT. Love it!!!
Social Studies Elective, I was expecting Social Change and the family and look there she was! I noticed she appeared on OL recently so kept an eye out. The other two were Leisure and Work which I chose leisure.
I hope this helps you. I wonder if they recycle the deferred paper as they don't release them?
How did everyone else find it?
May be useful to 5th Years!
Anyone else have to do the deferred exams? I have to do English, Home Ec, Maths, Irish, History, French and Economics.
