Travel to U.S. and Re-enter Canada with eCOPR Without PR Card?

Has anyone travelled after receiving eCOPR but before getting their PR card?

I’m planning to drive to the U.S., fly to my home country, return to the U.S., and then enter Canada by road in a private vehicle. I have a valid U.S. visa.

Has anyone done this recently? Were you able to re-enter Canada using your passport and eCOPR without any issues?

FINAL DECISION IN PROGRESS AFTER PFL RESPONSE - HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED THIS?

Hi everyone,

I wanted to ask about my Express Entry application status. My timeline is as follows: I received my ITA under CEC General on January 21, 2026, submitted my application and received my AOR on February 27, 2026, received my BIL on April 28, 2026, completed biometrics on April 29, 2026, and my medicals were finally marked as passed on June 5, 2026. I then received a Procedural Fairness Letter (PFL) on July 14, 2026 and submitted my response on July 17, 2026.

After responding to the PFL, my GCKey status now shows: Review of eligibility: We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements. Review of medical results: June 5, 2026 – You passed the medical exam. Interview: You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes. Biometrics: April 29, 2026 – Completed. Background check: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information. (This changed from "Not Applicable" on July 27, 2026.) Final decision: July 27, 2026 – Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

I haven't received any new messages or emails since these updates. Has anyone experienced a similar sequence of GCKey updates after submitting a PFL response or additional documents? If so, how did your application progress after this point? I'm not looking for predictions, just hoping to hear about others' experiences and whether this is a normal progression toward finalization. Thanks in advance!
