Easier way to turn kwik pen I discovered
Hi all. Sorry for replying to so many of you with my silly 5th dose from the 5mg pen lol. I’m sleep deprived and take care of my mom with dementia and Alzheimer’s and sometimes feel I’m losing my own mind as well! I rely on you guys too much and I apologize if it’s annoying. I did want to tell of my experience today. I have a 7.5mg kwik pen (still has 5th dose, the way to tell is the plunger will still be all the way to bottom and new ones where they have taken that away the plunger will be up a dose so you can’t get another dose (bummer) but so far I haven’t seen a new kwik pen in person just researched the hell out of it).
Anyway for those like me who are just not very well versed with insulin needles etc (this is the first needles I’ve ever taken in my 49 years) I noticed for that 5th dose in my 5mg kwik pen it wasn’t hard to get it to turn. It stops after half way but if you put a bit of elbow grease in it seems to go back to being easy after an initial hard patch. I also counted the clicks and got the 59 I think. And then dialled it back and turned again and it was much easier … it also was much easier to inject. So dialling once and then back and dialling second time made it easier to plunger into me. There was a tiny amount left but the plunger literally gave out when I tried to mess with it more lol.😂
I know I got my dose cause I always feel a bit light headed after until I get electrolytes into me.
Thanks for coming to my annoying ted talk on things you probably already knew!
