Development of Crypto Corner Shop began after developer Ali Leon (Trencher Leon) witnessed Afghanistan's banking system collapse following the government's fall in 2021. Millions suddenly lost reliable access to financial services, reinforcing the need for a marketplace that didn't depend on banks or centralized institutions.

That experience inspired the creation of a platform where anyone can buy and sell using cryptocurrency through peer-to-peer, non-custodial commerce, without relying on a government, bank, or payment processor to participate!
