Fall 2026 Disbursement Info

Hello everyone, I've been reading everyone's post asking about when they'll get their refunds for this upcoming semester. So here's a little guide to help you all know when you should be expecting that lovely stimulus check.

For students who filled out their fafsa early or are taking loans, tomorrow (Aug 14th) you should see your grants/ loans disbursed.

For everyone else, your money is being disbursed on August 19th per the disbursement schedule for this academic year.

Middle Class Scholarships and other financial aid stuff:

MCS: These are still being finalized and will show up in your financial awards around late September, these get disbursed a week after mid-terms

Q: My money has been disbursed, when should I expect it to hit my bank account?
A: After disbursement, these funds take 2-3 business days to process the funds, please make sure to double check your banking info in the GET portal. (some banks will process these funds during the weekend, Wells Fargo users are usually the first to receive these funds)

Q: How can I find out when my grants get disbursed?
A: Go to the GET portal -> Accept/decline awards -> click on this year's awards -> click on any of the grants (it should be in blue text) -> you will see a chart with disbursement dates for fall/spring semester

Q: Why am I getting no financial aid / missing financial aid for this year?
A: The One Big Beautiful Bill changed who qualified for financial support, a lot was changed so please read more about it here: https://studentaid.gov/announcements-events/big-updates

Q: How can I get more financial aid?
A: You can call or go in-person (tho there will be longer wait times) and speak to financial services to see what they can do. Additionally, California created this scholarship grant that basically gives you a few couple hundred dollars. You will need your high school transcript to see if you qualify for this grant. I'd recommend everyone to go claim their scholarships before it expires, and go here for that https://calkids.org/

Very big note: You will find out at 10:00 am how much money you'll be getting on the scheduled disbursement date.

Have a fun and safe academic year, golden eagles!
