458 Catback + Midpipes is peak
Recently installed the 458 designs resonated & valved cat-back exhaust with Hemholtz Anti-drone & midpipes. Thing is a work of art, genuinely some of the best welds I’ve ever seen. Shits on every exhaust I’ve seen at the same price point and many that are much more.
As someone who had an awe switchpath for awhile on my previous car, it’s pretty crazy how much better this is. With valves fully open the level of sound is very similar, thought the 458 sounds a bit more exotic and less buzzy.
However, the really big difference is that with the valves closed it’s actually very quiet, pretty much the same as stock exhaust in “pronounced” mode, and there’s essentially zero drone at any speed in any valve setting. Whereas AWE was quite bad at highway speeds in any valve setting.
11mode controller is a must though, as Audis valve logic is ridiculous and without a controller you pretty much never actually get them fully open even in RS performance mode.
