I have Lhermitte’s DuClos, a slow progressing brain tumor. It is consistently glossed over or ignored in medical settings, likely due to the rarity of the condition or clinician ignorance. I would like to get better treatment, any suggestions on how I do this? I haven’t had an MRI in close to 5 years. My last MRI was a non-success because I had a panic attack in the machine.
I have had a bipolar diagnosis for a decade plus. I was hospitalized about a year ago and it was suggested I was schizoaffective. I moved, and am currently seeing an NP-Psych rather than a psychiatrist, and it’s been suggested I am schizophrenic; I have now been cycled me on at least 4 antipsychotics ad am also now tapering off my lithium, which I have been on for a decade. Seroquel…strangely enough..as well. I’m perplexed. Does this sound like standard practice?
I have nightmare roommates. One moved in today and the first thing he communicated was a homophobic remark. Then he went upstairs and has been saying all kinds of nasty things about me and my family through the floor (it’s an old house, sound travels). I haven’t communicated more than a smile with him.
My other roommate just got done with his 100th bender with my (no longer friend) and expresses similarly homophobic sentiments. I am fairly certain he has nazi leanings.
My boss, who also owns the house has been making off handed remarks to me all week.
I’m not like these guys…I am in fact gay. I live on a Native American reservation where this has been a problem since day 1. I don’t feel safe. I don’t have the money to leave.
