Recently diagnosed with EOE and just working through it and trying to find the best diet for me and it’s funny because I always felt like dairy and gluten always made me bloated and I always felt uncomfortable but being on this diet and eating the foods below for the past week, I already feel significant improvements.
:Avoid Dairy/Eggs/Wheat/All Nuts/Soy/Fish:
Low acidic foods only
Breakfast
Overnight oats / Oatmeal
Granola
Honey
Açaí bowls
Fruits (berries,bananas,mangos,kiwi)
Drinks
Protein shakes
Oat milk
Water/Tea (Low caffeine) Ginger tea
Mains
Meat (beef,chicken,turkey) Salt ONLY
*Check out sauces
Vegetables (sweet and regular potatoes, carrots, broccoli, green beans, peas, and asparagus)
Snacks
Humus
Chips
Popcorn
This is going to be a lifelong process and then once I get my next biopsy in eight weeks, I’ll be able to add some of the things I used to eat before back into my diet and try to do a process of elimination, but I do have some questions for people that have been experienced this for years.
Are people with EOE still able to enjoy kimchi and kombucha? I just don’t know how that affects you since it’s fermented and you’re not supposed to have alcohol.
Any feedback will be great and if this list helps some people that are just starting out as well that’s awesome. Looking forward to being a part of this community and connecting with other people that are going through this so we can try to find ways to live a happy and healthy lifestyle. ✌️❤️
