I made a post explain the back story but i like to mention few stuff i didn't mention as you all remember sonia's father had problems with his wife she never appreciated anything he did for her nor being thankful sometime later she caught cheating on him which nade him very upset that led to divorce at that time they had 2 daughters a twins one have her father's appearance and the other (sonia) have her mother's because of that mr Schmidt favorited Maureen over sonia since sonia had her mother's appearance he was still upset about what happened between him and his wife but note it was just about cheating it was about all what he did for her and she never appreciate it so he always tell sonia that she's just like her mother doesn't appreciate what he do for her while he never supposed her when she was working in fashion designs and when he made an arrange marriage that upset sonia because at that point she felt like she was nothing but a burden to him he want to get rid of so few years later when William and sonia had maria mr Schmidt started to notice that his daughter aren't what he thought she was like mother while his relationship with his granddaughter is good amd sonia was watching them spend time together that made her sad because he never spent time with her when she was at her age and he was supported maria when she wanted to be a ballerina then when he wanted to talk to sonia about apologizing for everything she didn't want to forgive him saying that she's just a burden to him why he want to care now then he told her it's ok if she doesn't forgive him but he just want her to not make the same mistake with her daughter she laughed telling him that can't happen because maria have a loving father and grandfather while sonia didn't had anyone so that's impossible later when the accident happened about maria falling William was very angry he was ok with sonia with everything but what happened to maria is something he will never ignore and saying "YOU NEVER APPRECIATED ANYTHING I DID FOR YOU" The same words her father told her when she was a child at this point it became clear to her she became just like both her parents and worse she thinks it happened then William want a divorce once maria fully recover he will take her with him at the same time sonia discovered that she's pregnant with a second child (the twins bill & Cassidy) but that never changed William's mind he still insist on divorce and when the second child will born he will take them with him he won't allow what happened to maria happen to his second child as for sonia the guilt destroying her from inside when she her father telling him he's probably happy because what did he said was true she was just like her mother after that sonia fall into depression for few weeks and her father was worried about her so he must do something to fix his mistakes one day he went to William telling him he came to tell him about something important he need to the truth about sonia he explained everything after that he told him that the reason for telling that he must know the truth amd now it's his decision if he was to divorce sonia or not but he told him if he didn't want the divorce he must never let sonia know what he told him because he wants sonia to feel that she loved that she chosen not to feel he gave her a second chance out of pity she never had that feeling before to be loved so the next day William made his decision he went to sonia he saw how she's in bad condition he told her that he changed his mind about the divorce he doesn't want the newborn baby to live without a mother and everyone deserve a second chance that made sonia happy while crying saying that she premise that she will be a better wife and mother from now on
