Looking for a Voice Partner for a Bible Reading & Deep-Dive Podcast
I’d frame it as a collaborative project, rather than simply looking for someone to “read the Bible.” That should attract people who enjoy thoughtful discussion and have a good speaking voice.
Looking for a Voice Partner for a Bible Reading & Deep-Dive Podcast
I'm looking for someone interested in joining me in creating a Bible reading and discussion podcast.
The idea is simple: we read through the Bible, passage by passage, and then have a genuine conversation about it—historical context, meaning, difficult questions, contradictions, philosophy, morality, faith, and how different interpretations make sense.
I'm not looking for a preacher or someone who simply wants to read Scripture aloud. I'm looking for a thoughtful conversation partner who can:
- Read Scripture naturally and engagingly
- Comment and ask questions
- Explore difficult or controversial passages without avoiding them
- Bring their own perspective, including disagreement when appropriate
- Have deep, thoughtful conversations rather than giving sermons
- Have a good conversational voice suitable for a podcast
You don't need to be a theologian or scholar. In fact, I'm particularly interested in someone who is curious, articulate, open-minded, and willing to say "I don't know".
The format I'm imagining is something like:
Reading → reaction → questions → discussion → historical/contextual research → deeper conversation
Initially, this would be a small experiment—perhaps a few 10-15 minute sessions to see whether we have the understanding. If it works, we could turn it into a regular podcast.
I'm open to different Christian traditions and also to someone who is questioning their faith or approaches the Bible from a more analytical perspective. The important thing is that the conversation is respectful and genuinely interested in understanding the text.
Let me know if you are interested.
