2025 B.Tech graduate struggling to get a tech job — need practical guidance from experienced people

Hi everyone,

I graduated in 2025 with a B.Tech in CSE/AI. My college had no proper placements because we were the first batch.

I did a 3–4 month remote internship where I worked on backend development and Docker, but the pay was very low and the company is no longer active. After that, due to financial pressure, I had to take a BPO job paying around ₹20k/month. I was supporting my family from that income, but the work schedule was affecting my sleep and health badly.

I recently moved to Delhi to look for a tech job. It has been 4 days here, but I am not getting responses and my confidence is going down. My family’s financial situation is very difficult, and I don’t have enough time or resources to keep searching for months.

My skills:

JavaScript, React, Node.js, Express.js

Backend basics, REST APIs

Docker, Redis

SQL / database fundamentals — currently revising deeply

C++ DSA practice

Some AI/ML projects, including GANs and deep learning

I am looking for a realistic 20–30k/month tech job as soon as possible — frontend, backend, full-stack intern/junior role, support engineer, QA/manual testing, technical support, or anything close to tech where I can grow.

I don’t want sympathy. I need practical advice from experienced people:

What should I focus on in the next 7 days?

Which roles should I target for faster hiring?

How should I approach recruiters or companies directly?

Is my skill set enough for an entry-level role?

If anyone has gone through something similar, how did you handle it?

I am not giving up, but I feel stuck and need guidance from people who understand the industry.

Thank you.
