Just got done with Season 1!

Just got done with Season 1!

My husband and I browsed series on Disney and we accidentally found this magnificent thing 💯 Really enjoyed Season 1’s plot, characters, back stories and the actors’ performances tbh. We were like: "This is what great TV looks like!" 👌🏽 The only actor familiar with me is Sterling Brown because I also watched some seasons of This Is Us and I believed he was good in that too.

I honestly think more people should see this and it does deserve to be hyped. I can’t help but think how Emily and Paris and the likes get so much attention (idk probably more people are subscribed in Netflix than in Disney/Hulu). I know it’s not fair to compare two different series of two different genres but I just hope more directors, producers, creators are creative enough to make quality series like Paradise. Excited to start the second season. 😮‍💨

Comic con episode 🥳

One of my favorite episodes:

- Hear me out… Sheldon looked good in this episode with his costume and HAIR omg 🤣 💯
- Penny, Amy and Bernadette’s argument about Thor
- The disbelief of the guys hearing the comic book argument… funny af

This ep has probably been discussed and posted way too many times but I just never get tired watching this episode 😆

Looking for quick, healthy dessert recipes ☀️

Hi everyone! My husband and I have been trying to cut my artificial sugar intake but I can’t seem to find good dessert recipes that actually taste good 😅. Anyone who have their go-to baking (or even no-bake) recipes? Would love to try them 🤎 I eat everything but my husband doesn’t like any type of berries, banana and peanut butter that much. It would be nice to find something I can prepare easily for both of us 🫶🏼 Recently we made cinnamon muffins and we loved them. (But we used lots of sugar and butter 🥲) How do you guys adjust these ingredients and what alternatives do you use to make these desserts bit healthier? Any tips are appreciated!

Thanks so much!!!

Newbie here ☀️

Hi all! I just wanted to share that I’ll be starting squash in a few weeks. I tried playing squash once like 2 years ago but never had the chance to do more of it. I bought some 2nd hand stuff (but intro balls are unused, seller gave me an extra, free one 🥹) One of the reasons I wanted to try it again is because I live in a city where I don’t have much friends and I really wanted to do a sport where I can train by myself w/o always needing someone to play with. Just rally myself lol. Would love to play tennis too but again, I don’t know much people. Very excited and looking forward to a healthier year ahead. 🫡👾🩷

Last episode of Season 4 (Spoiler)

Noooo 😭 They did Marielle dirty omg 🥺 She and Kristi were a good tandem helping out the town people. She wasn’t perfect, just like everyone else, but damn she was more helpful than fucking Patty!! I cried more on her scene than Jim tbh.

Amy and the group

Rewatching Season 4 and I almost forgot how difficult it was to like Amy’s character when they first introduced her. 🤣 She was simply judgmental, intolerable, and emotionless. I know that Sheldon gave off the same vibe when he first met Leonard but then also seemed to loosen up a bit after being part of their friend group.

Watching this made me think of the episodes where Howard and Amy’s relationship became more fun to watch (their sing-along; goofing around the lab; collaborating for a project). I’m happy they wrote Amy’s character and scenes better and more relatable. (except her unnecessary lusting over Penny).

Penny & Beverly

Just rewatched the episode where Penny and Beverly decided to go for drinks and got drunk 🤣 I don’t like Beverly at all but in this episode, it was nice seeing that she got to have a "fun" moment with Penny and that ~finally~ she kind of loosened up. (Though I remember there was an episode where she sang with Sheldon). Watching this made me think about the ep where Sheldon got drunk after consuming those long island iced teas lol. I cackled when she referred to Penny as her "homegirl" lmao 😂 Also, this is where she told Leonard to take care of Penny. I wish they had more moments like this.

Although, I would have to say it’s so cringe that she kissed Sheldon here (she apologized afterwards but still 🥲).

Penny & Sheldon parallels

Loved rewatching the episode from Season 2 where Sheldon uses positive reinforcement to Penny! Haha. Gotta love it every time they inject psychological approaches in their episodes. I couldn’t help but remember a "parallel" episode from Season 11 where Penny gets to be the one to apply parenting skills (from Bernadette’s book) to Sheldon! 😆 Always a good laugh.

Penny and Alicia

Rewatching TBBT and I got to the episode where Alicia moves in in their building and the guys were all over her.

I know many people don’t like Penny (I just realized it when I started lurking in the sub lol) but in the episode, I found it nice that she was protective of them. This made me remember the episodes where she took care of Sheldon when he got sick, "took in" Raj for their girls night as he couldn’t participate in game night anymore, throw Leonard a birthday party since he was used to not celebrating growing up, participated in their activities like practicing for science competitions, paintball, etc.

Anyway, I guess I’ll always have a soft spot for her. 🩷After all, most of my favorite episodes include her.

Books with scientific experiments/narratives

Hi! So I have been re-watching Big Bang Theory and in the finale of Season 1, they mentioned about the Schrodinger’s cat experiment. Do you guys know any books that have those kinds of (short) narratives? Like a compilation of these types of stuff. I am not so keen about chemistry or physics but I do find
«psychological» or «social» narratives interesting. My recent read was about a family medically diagnosed with schizophrenia and I enjoyed reading about it. I also liked therapy narratives like Maybe You Should Talk to Someone or Good Morning, Monster. Now, I find myself interested in looking into experiments. Any suggestion is appreciated! 😊

Hi! I just wanted to ask for advice regarding tretinoin.

I used tretinoin (0.025%) for years and it was going well until early 2025. I asked my dermatologist if I needed to up the dosage but she advised me that it’s okay to stick on what’s working for my skin and so I ended up using tretinoin for a long time. I noticed that it "stopped" working early last year when my skin reacted weirdly. Pimples started appearing again and the texture of my skin became different… these were very unusual. I knew diets and hormones can be factors too, but my skin only "reacts" bit more when I use tretinoin so I thought it was the culprit. So I decided to stop and eventually, everything went back to "normal".

The problem is I still want the good effects of tretinoin like before (my skin used to look glassy and texture was smoother when I was using it) but I am afraid that the there will be harsh skin reactions again. So now I am looking for an alternative retinol/retinoid/ tretinoin that I could try (probably a low dosage one). Do you guys have suggestions?

Thank you in advance!
