Buying advice request
I currently have a Fujifilm X100V and I’m looking to upgrade.
The X100V is really a wonderful camera but doesn’t quite fulfil my needs. I use the camera for travel photography. That includes architecture, street, monuments, landscape, night / lowlight shots, some portraits and wildlife - in short, almost everything. I don’t use the X100V for video though - I prefer to use my iPhone for that. I find X100Vs 35mm equivalent focal length very restrictive - it doesn’t come close to serving the disparate use cases stated above. In the process of upgrading, I wouldn’t mind a bump in the dynamic range either.
I’m relatively young and don’t mind the weight and bulk of a DSLR. So the question is, would the Nikon D850 be a terrible choice for my use case? Given that I’d like the best IQ / dynamic range for the price, does any mirrorless full-frame (Nikon or any other make) qualify as a reasonable alternative to the D850?
