Tips For Fading? This Is Hard 😭 [First Self Cut]
This is my first ever self cut, a burst fade attempt. So obviously I'm not expecting it to be perfect. But I messed up pretty bad.
I find it hard understand fading, and blending guidelines. I keep losing the lines. And resort to guessing. For this cut I followed a follow along of a burst fade. And got lost somewhere in the way.
Most "how to fade" tutorials I watched are very rushed, and assume some level of knowledge. I haven't found any tutorials that walk you from complete beginning through fading and actually take the time to explain how the mechanics work. They just tell you what to do, exactly, without really explaining anything. And if you don't follow along step by step it's hard to understand what part youre on. Exactly like my hair now. I don't know which guard to use, how much and how.
Ignore the fact that both sides are far from equal in height That's mostly because I rushed the right side instead of taking my time with it.
Would love some fade tutorials reccomendations if anyone knows any. Any online barber courses perhaps.
If anyone could explain where I went wrong specifically in my haircut. Thanks 🙏🏻
