Thoughts?
I have a few (😏) mt's and this has been my edc for a few months now...
I love Victorinox quality, but actually need pliers almost daily. Until victorinox decides to make pliers this size, this powerpint will have to do the job...
I've carried a Wave for long, but always had the problem with food handling, which made me have to carry a separate folder. And the ability to have separate tools (pliers on one hand, screwdriver on the other) made me go on 2 MT's.
But the weight was too much! And the day the wave "bit" me twice, just threw it in a drawer and swapped the wave for the skeletool, great simple tool, but too fragile and too many hot-spots in handles.
This combo (Powerpint + Vic Explorer) has served me well, but there are too many redundancies and useless tools. In the powerpint I just use the pliers and drivers. Eventually the blade, if I think I'm going to do something that can damage my sak.
Would it be wise to change this combo for a Spirit mx? The weight is exactly the same, but then I would have to add a bantam or Army1 just for food...
And although I like the added functionality of the spirit, I know that probably I wouldn't use the "extra tools" often.
How would the spirit ride in the 5th pocket? I know it's longer, but is it uncomfortable? (I'm a big guy 1.90m or 6'3")
