Gaggia Classic E24 – Single-hole steam tip + 9 bar OPV: Worth it?
Hi everyone!
I've had my Gaggia Classic E24 for about two months now and I've been really enjoying it. I'm thinking about doing my first two mods together: a 9 bar OPV spring and a single-hole steam tip.
I was originally planning to get both from Shades of Coffee, since they seem to be very well known for Gaggia mods. Unfortunately, the shipping cost to my country is ridiculously expensive, so I started looking for alternatives.
I ended up finding both the DistroLabs 9 bar OPV spring and the single-hole steam tip on Amazon, which would be much easier for me to get.
I've seen some positive feedback about the OPV in this video.

I'm especially curious about the single-hole steam tip. I'm still learning how to texture milk, so I'm wondering if it actually makes a noticeable difference and helps with learning, or if I should just stick with the stock E24 tip and focus on technique.
Does anyone have these mods? Are they worth it?
Thanks!
