College honestly feels like a scam. I have a BS degree and still can't find a job.
My resume is good, or at least that's what I thought. Most places either don't answer at all, or they tell me I'm overqualified. I'm applying for roles that I honestly know I'm overqualified for, because my options are running out and I just need anything at this point.
My background is in Cerner, office/admin work, and non-clinical healthcare positions. What's frustrating me is that all these skills should transfer easily to any similar job. I went back to school to get into nursing, but now I'm wondering if I should pause that for a while and go get a few certifications instead.
Wait until you're salary and don't need to put anything.
I used a more "American" name on my resume, and I finally started hearing back

Yeah, of course, the interview question that always makes you feel like it's the boss fight before the credits roll.
Recently, after I finished answering it, the hiring manager asked me what questions I had for them.
So I said: "Look, since we're speaking openly, I'll be honest: I'm still talking to a few other companies. So let me flip the question: what would make your offer the one I choose over the others?"
Yeah... It was definitely a little bold. And maybe a bit too confident. But the funny part is that now I have another conversation lined up with the division lead. So it looks like it went well.
A small reminder: interviews aren't just them evaluating you. You also have the right to evaluate the opportunity. You're not just trying to get chosen... You're also choosing the place where you want to work.
