If you're starting as a creator in 2026:
Don't focus on followers first.
Focus on monetization first.
Even tiny audiences can make money now if the platform has subscriptions + internal traffic.

Tried multiple creator platforms this month and honestly most are terrible for small creators.
One thing I noticed:
Platforms with built-in discovery convert way better than ones where you have to bring 100% of traffic yourself.
Small accounts especially need discoverability.
