Hi everyone, I recently cleared the entrance exam for BCom and got selected. I have a doubt regarding counselling documents.

Right now, my 10th and 12th marksheets match. But there is a minor error in my father’s name, so I sent my 10th marksheet for correction. Because of that, I currently do not have my original old 10th marksheet physically with me.

After the correction, the father’s name in my 10th marksheet will be slightly different from my 12th marksheet because I haven’t corrected the 12th one yet. The difference is very minor, but I’m worried whether this could create any issue during counselling/admission.

Has anyone faced a similar situation during document verification? Will this create any serious problem or is it manageable if I explain the situation properly?

Hey everyone, I have a few doubts about this course and would really appreciate some guidance.

1. I come from a non-maths background, so I’m confused about how to prepare for Maths.

Should I study from NCERT or online lectures?

Should I start from Class 9 Maths or directly from Class 11?

Also, which chapters are important for the qualifier and which ones can I skip?

2. I’m also confused about whether I should choose the May term or the September term.

If I go with the May term, will 2 months be enough to prepare for the qualifier?

I haven’t studied Maths for the last 2 years, and Computational Thinking is completely new for me. My Statistics and English are decent.

3. Lastly, is having a laptop necessary at this stage?

I currently don’t have one, so will I be able to manage the qualifier process without a laptop?

I’d be really thankful if someone could guide me.

Hey everyone, I was going to pursue this data science course of IITm. I've heard that this course consists of high level maths, as a non maths student I am concerned that will be i able to complete this course.

As per what I've found, in this course you are required to know calculus, algebra, sets, co-ordinate geometry and stats.

Even as a non maths student. I am ready to study that all if it's worth it.

I want to know that I require prior knowledge in these chapters or it will be taught to me during the course itself.

I’m Shariq. I just completed my boards this year and I’m from a commerce background without maths.

Recently I came across the IITM course and it honestly felt quite interesting and useful, so I’m planning to register for the May window.

Before I start, I just wanted to ask a few things from people who are already doing it. What should I expect from this course? Is it manageable for someone without a maths background? And is there anything I should start learning beforehand to make things easier?
