Shidou's performance
The way Kaneshiro has been handling Shidou not just this France game but since the NEL is crazy. The only reason why he made the top 3 in terms of bids is because Kaneshiro isn't ready to put Barou above Shidou. Shidou receives enough narrative to stay afloat most of the other blue lockers but not enough feats to justify his position. Before the PxG game started Shidou spoke like it'd be a massive Kaiju battle centered around Isagi, Kaiser, Rin and Shidou. As soon as Shidou scores the one feat that puts him higher than Ubers he is immediately removed from the equation. It becomes "rock paper scissors" where Kaiser Rin and Isagi counter each other whilst Shidou gets locked up by Kunigami for the sake of plot. Even when Zantetsu covers Kunigami and sets Shidou free Rin dunks on him and goes to score before phantom Sae interrupts. Shidou also tries to team up with Rin multiple times just for Rin's greedy ass not to pass back and fumble costing PxG the game. Shidou also continues to be the poster boy alongside Rin and Isagi when the U20 World Cup begins and before the France game begins also gets additional lobs from Charles...just for the two to hardly interact this game. Yes he got his moment when Karasu chose him. But when Loki comes to stop him Barou steals the ball and dunks on both Loki and Shidou. And of course in true Kaneshiro nature moment he sets up how Blue Lock's system is currently based on the double jokers they also get sidelined straight after. Shidou gets absolutely done dirty. France could've been both his and Loki's game but no. I don't think Shidou will be getting any true moments to shine until Sae joins the team. Until then he'll just be the top 3 simply because Kaneshiro wants him to be. He won't get much feats or screentime but hey. At least NOW he has actual dribbling feats that are on competent players and not on Igaguri. He is simply carried by the narrative. Maybe Shidou and Barou will be starters against England. But they'll get like 5 minutes of focus before being shafted again.
