One bagging without a backpack

I cannot wear backpacks. And I can't carry very much. Most of my allowance would be my portable oxygen generator (or do those not count as bags)? Thus, my question. What would you recommend using for an extended trip? I'm not planning anythung yet, but I want my ducks in a row.

Capsule wardrobe suggestions for plus sized woman with very medieval folkloric taste.

So. I started down the sustainable clothing journey after joining this community. I have merino tee shirts, two merino dresses, some cardigans--all very good items and very appropriate for work, but I realized, after seeing some of the clothing brands recommended here, that I want to incorporate a folkloric, flowy, almost fantasy bent into my clothing. Poet shirts, lace, etc. Though I still want a responsible kind of material.

But most of the shops recommended here just don't cater to the over size 18 crowd. What's a birthday girl to do? (Birthday in two weeks, party sooner than that.) I am turning 70, so long skirts and dresses are a must, but tops can be anything with sleeves.

Or have I nissed the bus here? Am I too old?

How many pairs of jeans are enough.

I wear jeans and a nice shirt to work most days (3 out of 5). I recently lost enough weight that not even a belt makes the old/current jeans look good or unbaggy. So. New jeans ho! Problem is that the only jeans I've ever found that work with my body are Talbot's curvy fit. And those are expensive. So how many pairs would be the optimal amount for a capsule wardrobe?

Note: planning on deaccsessioning things as they get too big. Some pieces (favorite dresses) will be resized but mostly, i plan on replacing the shirts, skirts and whatnot.
