Housing for UConn Grad Student
Hi! My partner is starting UConn's DMD grad program next year and, after a weekend of touring every place we could, we've narrowed down our housing options to two top places. Our biggest concern at the moment is the utilities price, we've been warned that electric bills can get up in the $500 range in the winter. Before we make our decision, we were wondering if people had any additional insight into utilities cost (especially electric/heat) or other important things to know about:
Ivy Woods in Tolland - We would get a 1 bed, 1 bath
The Standard in Storrs - We would get a 2 bed, 2 bath using a current special to get it in our price range
We've heard a lot of mixed reviews about the Standard and honestly can't find much at all about Ivy Woods so any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!
