Completed the notoriously difficult Chicago Tour: My Tips and Tricks if anyone needs it
So I just completed the difficult as heck Chicago section of the World Tour (finally) and I've seen others have a heck of a time with some of the sections, so figured I'd offer some tips that worked for me super quick so everyone else can get it done too!
The two obvious:
--Dreams and Nightmares (Cody/Dusty tag match):
I used Dexter Lumis and Tony D'Angelo for mine. 100000000% focus on Cody for the win. I picked Dexter FIRST and then Tony 2nd in the line-up, that forces the game to place Tony on the RIGHT side in front of Cody for the match (with Dexter in front of Dusty) with you in control of Dexter. As SOON as the match starts, IMMEDIATELY switch to Tony and rush + Heavy to spear Cody, this worked 100% of the time for me, as Cody will focus on Dexter at the start since that's what you started as. From there, try to get a weapon (I used a chair but kendo might work better?) and let the CPU Dexter handle Dusty but keep an eye on if Dusty gets a handle on Dexter (or Bionic Elbows him). The moment you see your partner get hit with one, slam Cody with a chair or down him and whack Dusty with the chair. I then switched to Dexter and moved him to Cody and let Tony handle Dusty and just kept alternating between the two. Primarily, you want Tony to hit his Signatures and Finisher on Cody, as those hit faster compared to Dexter's Splash Finisher from the top. Once your partner has Dusty in a Grapple/move, pin Cody IMMEDIATELY after the Finisher for the win. If he kicks out, just repeat the sequence and keep to that strategy and you'll be in the clear! This took a few tries but that was the consistent strategy for me!
--Gauntlet Matches:
(First Gauntlet)
I used DDP '98 (Card Market) for the 1st one. Get them to as far as the entrance section of the ramp. Damage them there and DO NOT go back into the ring/get them back into the ring until you hit at least 2-3 Signatures. In the interim, DDP's Grapple - Left Heavy (Tombstone Slam) (alternated with Up Heavy, his Gutbuster) did great amounts of damage, with the Left Heavy noted to be less counterable in my case. Once you hit 2-3 Signatures, get them back into the ring and Diamond Cutter them for the wins. If you're countered or the first Diamond Cutter didn't get the pin, then you should have one more finisher stored to hit another for the win, but TRY to save one finisher for Mark Henry. Then in Mark Henry's case, get him ALLLLL the way to the side of the entranceway, hit the Diamond Cutter to almost eliminate his armor, then repeat the strategy again. That worked for Mark in one shot for me!
(Final Gauntlet)
This one will take a few tries so don't feel discouraged if it doesn't work! You are absolutely NOT aiming for pins in this match, only Count-Outs! I stuck with DDP for this one, Irish Whip each one outside and spam Grapple-Left Heavy (his Tombstone Slam) until the 7-8 count, then WAKE-UP TAUNT them to get each opponent up but dazed for a second or two, in which you should RUSH to the ring for the 10 count! Do both taunts in-between to keep your stamina up! Again, in Mark Henry's case, save a Finisher/Signature to hit on Mark to break that armor and then repeat the sequence for the wins.
Those strats helped me bust those matches in about a day (on and off because of IRL stuff lol), also of note, hand-to-heart, I never even used sideplates (because I'm a dummy and keep forgetting to add them on)!
Hope this helps! If there are any more tips I can provide, I'll def post here!
