For over thirty five years , Federacion Unida de Lucha Libre has aired their flagship "SABADO COMBATE" on Saturday Nights on the Spanish speaking channel Granvision.
For the last five years FULL has aired their Saturday show of Sabado Combate from the theatre "Palacio de la Cultura" as the arena they own called "Coliseo de México" was being renovated after a fire damaged the facility.

"LOVERBOY" ROMEO RODRIGUEZ

Loverboy is here to thrill the fans of Federacion Unida de Lucha Libre , he's your mom favorite tecnico luchador and FULL's residential young Latin heartthrob.
Known in the ring for his hot dance moves and fiery Latin temper , but also his technical skill in the lucha libre ring make him a promising future star.
Romeo love for Lucha Libre began as a young boy in Puerto Rico , he watched FULL Sabado Combate every Saturday night on the Spanish TV channel Granvision with his grandparents.
He dreamed often as a child that he would become a luchador like his heroes he grew up watching , it even lead him into fitness quietly preparing himself to follow his dream someday.

As a young man his family fell on hard times, he was working as a lifeguard for a franchise resort during the vacation season where he later got a chance to move from Puerto Rico to Cancún, Mexico.
It was there his life changed while working as a lifeguard by day, he was soon recruited to moonlight as a male exotic dancer to make extra money at the male strip club called Loverboys outside the resort.
It was also rumored he occasionally moonlight as a gigolo for lonely wealthy older women seeking companionship but so far it was just rumors.
One night while working at Loverboys, he encountered a young beautiful model named Gina who was the girlfriend of a well off elderly business executive connected to FULL.

It was rumored after Romeo spent time with Gina later that night after meeting that he discovered her connection to the FULL via Gina's elderly boyfriend who was a executive in FULL.
She connected Romeo to meet him after he told her his dream to become a luchador, their own encounter was kept some what secret as she made the meeting for him.
Romeo met with the executive telling him his goal to become a luchador, the executive saw his desire and potential, he directed Romeo to Senor Acero's lucha libre training school in Mexico City.

Romeo a week later packed up his things and abruptly quit both his jobs leaving Cancun, he would travel to Mexico City to go train at Senor Acero's training school for the next year and a half.
After some time passed he was promoted to an official luchador after having several showcase matches at Senor Acero training school he was picked up by FULL promoters to have opening matches.
After four years since becoming a official luchador Romeo has slowly climbed the rungs of FULL, he has also gained a fanbase with older women who come to see the new young heart throb of lucha libre.

LOS MATADORES

Cousins Bravo and Valiente are the tecnico tag team called the Los Matadores, both hail from Barcelona, Spain but reside in Mexico City, Mexico.
As boys living in Spain their family loved three loves that bonded them , Futbol (Soccer) , Bullfighting and Lucha Libre.
But Lucha Libre was a constant primary for them as they fandom grew , though they participated in Futbol teams either together or as competitors their love for Lucha Libre always drew them and their families together.

One day when the promotion Federacion Unida de Lucha Libre aka FULL , held fundraising international show in Madrid they went to the live event.
It was there before the event the cousins encountered Senor Acero outside the arena signing autographs in the lobby to help sell merchandise for the fundraiser.
They told Senor Acero about their love for Lucha Libre which lead to him inviting him to attend his new training school in Mexico City.

That conversation lead to them both deciding , a year later they travelled to from Barcelona, Spain to Mexico City, Mexico to attend Senor Acero training school.
They passion and love was evident as the two cousins did everything needed to finally after a year and a half of training to get promoted as official luchadores.
They would adopt the matador inspired in ring attire with masks , becoming Bravo and Valiente the tag team called Los Matadores.

ULTIMO MAXIMO

Maximiliano Joaquin Martinez is a international sensation known by his luchador persona, Ultimo Maximo the extreme luchador.
Raised in a academic and entertainment family in Mexico City,Mexico his path was already directed for him early in his life by his parents.
Maxi the nickname his family member called him, by the age of six had begun a growing passion for all things lucha libre and Pro Wrestling which lead to his deep interest of seeking entry by thirteen years old.
He would later would discover he had extended family distant connection through his father side of the family learning his father's paternal older cousin is El Tornado Blanco.

As he grew up Maxi would find his love for Lucha Libre and Pro Wrestling had grown deeply, he would later tag along with his father in to the United States for business.
It was there on his own he would sneak away to catch Championship Wrestling Organization events and a westcoast indie promotion event for Los Angeles Wrestling aka LAW.
Where he saw Hardcore Wrestling style for the first time which excited him, when he returned home to Mexico he secretly made the decision he was going to be a luchador.

He would manage to seek out one of the wrestlers who was in the Hardcore match for LAW who had a small school in the town of Tala in Jalisco, Mexico .
He decided to tell his parents his goal to not enter into college and become a luchador, his parents were not happy and his father told him he would financially support his endeavor.
Maxi grandfather Jorge would give him the money for his endeavor understanding life is short and to follow your dreams.

Maxi would travel to the town of Tala to train in camp with elderly veteran luchador turned hardcore wrestler, Pablo Munoz aka El Mutilador (The Mutilator) .
For over thirty fight years El Mutilador had been in the world of Lucha Libre and Pro Wrestling, he began at the age of seventeen as a way to make money for his poor family.
He trained under Rápido Rodriguez a lucha libre legend and highflying innovator during lucha libre early days, he was one of the first to combined wrestling holds and acrobatics.

El Mutilador would wrestle in Mexico for seven years until going on his first excursion into North America in the mid 1990s when the hardcore wrestling period began.
He would make his way to the American indie promotion LAW where he first encountered the style and participated in hardcore matches.
Over the next few years he combined lucha libre and hardcore wrestling style to become a unique pioneer but it made him seem to dangerous to enter FULL.

El Mutilador later travelled out of the westcoast to the Northeast to compete in the hardcore pioneering indie promotion Hardcore Extreme Wrestling aka HEW.
A few years later he would compete in fledgling deathmatch Japanese indie promotion called Dead Or Alive Puroresu aka DOA Wrestling.
He would later return to Tala,Jalisco Mexico to start his own Mexican indie hardcore promotion with partner Don Vargas, to be a allied with LAW, HEW & DOA Wrestling.
El Mutalador would call his promotion, Herida, Extremo y Lucha Libre aka H.E.L.L. which would quickly become the bloodiest extreme promotion in Lucha Libre history.

Ultimo Maximo would become one of El Mutilador top pupils , but his training was very abusive and brutal to many who began to avoid his training school and promotion.
After a altercation Ultimo Maximo ended his relationship with El Mutilador who he called a drunk and narcotic user, he would later seek out his cousin El Tornado Blanco.
Under his cousin El Tornado Blanco at Senor Acero school , he continued his training and would be promoted to a Luchador after a few years.

Thanks to his cousin he would have a few matches under Federacion Unida de Lucha Libre, but promoters felt he still needed more time to grow.
They began sending him on excursions into the United States and later Japan, but when he went to Japan to wrestle for Dynamite Pro Wrestling he grew as a luchador.
When he returned to HEW it was no longer as a young up incomer but a high flying innovative star earning the moniker extreme luchador for his insane dives.
After earning the admiration of a rapid HEW fanbase he was soon contacted by FULL promoters to return to Mexico to compete in their Crucero (cruiserweight) division.

(FUN FACT: Ultimo Maximo is inspired by Super Crazy and my real life friends , former indie wrestler Jose Maximo and his younger brother Amazing Red).

JOVEN RAYO

Joven Rayo (Young Lightning) is a rookie tecnico luchador who's also the best friend and part time tag team partner of Chico Huracan.

He is considered one of if not thy most innovative cruiserweight luchador currently in FULL.

Joven Rayo says his love for lucha libre began as a small child.

His mother use to work the ticket counter and concession stands at Federacion Unida de Lucha Libre events.

At the age of four when his father couldnt watch him and didnt have a babysitter he would tag along with her to work.

He would catch the matches for free and that is where his love began.

When he turned fourteen he made up his mind after leaving his local youth futbol team to focus on Lucha Libre.

He told his parents his desire, his mother knew who could train him.

Her supervisor Eduardo Pina, he was once a rudo masked luchador called El Pirata Enmascarado.

He later lost his mask in the 80s in a Mask vs Hair match, he retired after his first wife died during child birth to focus on raising his son.

He took a backstage job in FULL since then.

Eduardo would agree to train Rayo, excited to share his skills with him.

For nearly two years Eduardo gave Rayo basic lucha libre training until he was 16 and then sent him to Senor Acero school to get advanced training.

It was there he met his best friend Chico Huracan.

After a few years Joven Rayo and Chico Huracan were promoted to official luchadors at 18.

After several months on the FULL regional system he and Chico Huracan would be promoted to FULL main roster to compete.

Now Joven Rayo set his sight on victory and some day claiming the FULL World Cruiserweight Championship.

CHICO HURACAN

Chico Huracan (Hurricane Boy) Is a young up incoming teenage dynamo , he has been a luchador since the age of 15 years old.

Since four years old Chico Huracan has been a fan of Lucha Libre ,due to his grandfather who was raising him.

Chico Huracan and his grandfather bonded over watching lucha libre until his sudden death.

At his death bed at ten years old Chico would promise his grandfather he would follow his dreams to become a luchador.

Chico Huracan around the age of 11 was taken into a orphanage that was nearby Senor Acero Lucha Libre School in Mexico City.

Senor Acero would stop by to see the orphans and often bring gifts to the orphanage as well help financially where he could.

Chico being a young brash boy would often annoy Senor Acero about wanting to come to his school to train to some day become a Luchador.

But Acero often told him every time that he did not train children, but that did not deter Chico from wanting to be a Luchador.

So Chico found a clever way into Acero school by offering to clean his school part time for cheap, after every training class.

Acero agreed, but Chico being a intelligent young boy used his position as a janitor to watch others train under Senor Acero .

Chico often while cleaning would learn by watching others training under Senor Acero, over time he quickly picked up the lucha libre techniques.

By the age of fourteen Chico had fully grasped lucha libre from watching the trainees , when Senor Acero was away Chico would use the ring and some times spar with the trainees.

Senor Acero began to hear rumors that Chico had lucha libre skills , Senor Acero did not train him but he figured out quickly he was watching the trainees at the school.
So one night before closing up the school for the night, it was the day before Chico 15th birthday and Acero wanted to test Chico on how much he picked up from watching the trainees.

Senor Acero called Chico into the ring where he quickly grabbed Chico into various holds, Chico was still raw but the talent was there which impressed Senor Acero.
After the sparring Senor Acero told Chico he was impressed but needed training still, so he offered Chico a birthday gift to train him after class.
Within several months of close mentorship and training from Senor Acero , Chico would have his first lucha libre match at the school's showcase.

Later Chico Huracan reached his 18th birthday Senor Acero he was promoted him to official Luchador , gave Chico his own mask and his masked luchador name as Chico Huracan (Hurricane Boy).
Senor Acero then managed Chico to getting him matches on mexican independent scene for a few months until he was brought into the development branch of the Federacion Unida de Lucha Libre aka FULL.

After several months in FULL development branch, Chico fights on the main roster in FULL cruiserweight division as one of their top up incoming young masked luchadors.
