Physics Major + CS Additional Major

Hi, incoming freshman here! I heard some people say that attempting to get a dual degree in physics and CS is time-consuming and torturous. Is it more reasonable in terms of workload, difficulty, and fulfilling requirements to attempt an additional major in CS instead of a dual degree? Does being in the Computational Physics Track give me opportunities to overlap course requirements between CS and physics? For reference, my home school is MCS and I'm planning to take Matter and Interactions I and 15-122 this year.
