Dog still alive after 16 days

If the dog is still alive, is it rabid? The encounter I had was most likely not a possible exposure as I've been told on this sub and by the people in my life, i still decided to repeatedly seek the dog out every few days and it's still alive today (16 days).

For details, you can see my previous posts. I have read the FAQ.

9 days observation for dog?

If the dog is perfectly fine after 9 days of observation, what is the likelihood of it being rabid?

I have read the FAQ.

Rabies exposure?????

I have read the FAQ. Monday aug 3rd 2026, i was minding my business on campus and this dog comes very near my leg. I immediately withdrew and got away. At that time i didn't feel the bite or scratches. Since then I have checked several times, my parents, my friends, my partner all have checked several times. There is no visible bite or scratch. There are no visible marks on my jeans as well.

The thing is it's consuming me, I'm not able to do anything because the thought of rabies is overwhelming me. I don't know what to do. Could this be an exposure? In my country dogs are the primary carrier of rabies. Everyone around me is making me feel stupid now, but it's a disease that has a 100 percent fatality rate. Anyone with any input, comment. I'm being ruled by anxiety.

Rabies exposure?

Yesterday while on campus at my university, a dog came quite near my leg from behind. As soon as I felt it I got away. I didn't feel a bite or scratch but it came quite close to my left leg. I have checked my jeans thoroughly i couldn't find any scratches or holes at the sight of anywhere and my leg also doesn't have any visible marks of bites or scratches. I have read the FAQ. In my country dogs are the primary carrier of rabies. I didn't feel any bite but I felt it come quite close to me and I got away as soon as that happened. It might sound stupid but could this be an exposure, especially when my country carries a lot rabies burden and it's transmitted primarily through dogs?
