Count of Monte Cristo Social Deduction Games
So I’m in the process of making 2 Social Deduction games based on the novel, which is the best book I’ve read and probably will read. I’ve listened to the unabridged version on Audible 6 times in the past few years alone (and the book is 45+ hours easily) John Lees narration is just heavenly to listen to. Anyway before I digress, I’m wanting to bring a project to everyone’s attention and get some feedback on it. I could spend this entire post talking about them and make the post super long but why do that when I can present you with draft versions of the rules? Which of course briefly explains the games themselves. Originally I wanted a game where one person playing The Count is secretly trying to ruin 3 other players playing Danglars, Fernand, and Villefort, but I could not think of a good system that could pull that off and instead made a game about the events that transpired in the Villefort household with all the poisonings. I think though I finally found a version that would work for my original concept. Ya’ll just take a look at the rules and let me know what ya’ll think, are these games you’d be interested in playing? And do they keep the theme and all around atmosphere of the greatest novel ever?
