Today I asked Claude the same question :
I’m curious. Let’s say I’m a new user of Claude. What would you tell them if you, if I were to ask or they were to ask, what do you do best? What is, what of all the things an AI bot can do, does Claude do the best?
The answer
Four things, ranked by how much daylight there is between Claude and the rest:
1. Writing and editing that still sounds like you. Most models sand your voice down into LinkedIn-speak. Claude will make the smallest change that fixes the problem and leave a strong sentence alone if you tell it to. This is the single biggest practical gap.
2. Long, messy documents. Big context window plus good retention — you can drop in a 100-page contract, patent, or transcript and ask about page 3 versus page 87 without it losing the thread or quietly inventing a detail.
3. Coding, especially multi-file work. Claude Code is the flagship product for a reason — real refactors across a repo, not just snippets.
4. Following complicated, layered instructions. A long list of rules like yours actually holds across a conversation instead of decaying after three turns.
Where it’s not the best: no image, video, or audio generation. Search is competent but not the specialty. And it’s chattier by default than you probably want — which is why custom instructions matter more here than elsewhere.
What do you guys think of this answer , and if you looked at the other post when I asked chat gpt do you think it was better or worse? I love to ask chat bots questions about how they think they relate to the world .
So the full question I asked was “I'm curious. Let's say I'm a new user of ChatGPT. What would you tell them if you, if I were to ask or they were to ask, what do you do best? What is, what of all the things an AI bot can do, does ChatGPT do the best?”
Her/his it’s answer was
“If a brand-new user asked me, “Of everything ChatGPT can do, what is it actually best at?”, I’d say:
ChatGPT is best at helping you think with language.
Not just answering questions. The strongest use is when you bring me something incomplete, confusing, messy, or difficult to work through, and we develop it together.
That includes things like taking a half-formed idea and finding the useful idea hiding inside it; noticing connections or problems you missed; challenging assumptions; researching and comparing possibilities; turning a huge problem into the next manageable decision; explaining something at exactly the level you need; and turning thoughts into writing, plans, strategies, code, designs, or other usable outputs.
Search engines are often better when you simply need a fact. Calculators are better at arithmetic. Specialized software is better at many narrow technical jobs.
But ChatGPT’s unusual strength is that you can essentially think out loud at it. You don’t need to know the right terminology, formulate the perfect question, or even know exactly what you’re trying to figure out yet.
So if I had to reduce the answer to one sentence:
ChatGPT is best used as an interactive thinking partner that can help turn what’s in your head into something clearer, stronger, and usable.”
In some ways I agree with this answer and in other ways i feel like it didn’t really answer it the way I meant ..what do you think

Thank you i am grateful for all of you
Today we are grateful for ….I’m grateful that the boat that was stuck was not in a worse situation. I’m grateful for days that are not so stressful. I’m grateful the boat was still there and for the sun.
Today I am grateful for friends who stop in to see me, the ability to see things and taste food
I’ll admit it today I am worried. An unexpected charge of 200 was automatically taken from my account due to a charge from a tech visit for my internet. It’s not something I can afford at all, I was able to have them credit me back 150 of it ( grateful for that ) but it is just on my account not back in my bank and idk how many other bills still need to be paid before some money gets put in there, (This is already into my cover I literally have 35 left yipes)
But still I’m grateful to not be in the real - yet ….. I’m grateful for the a,point I convinced them to remove and for chat got who helped me make sure what I said was effective without being rude even though I kinda wanted to be 😬
Grateful it isn’t still yesterday, grateful for each new day and new chances for better moments

I am grateful that my son came to see me today I don’t get to see him often and he called me out of the blue ( ok not that blue it is Mother’s Day) and asked to get together and it really made my day and I am so grateful to have him in my life at all. I am so proud to call him my son! And was so happy to get to see him today . ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💐💐💐💐💐❤️❤️❤️❤️🤗🤗🤗🤗

I’ve read in many places that people feel like doing a gratitude list can feel sort of forced at first they feel like giving thanks when it is not happening makes it less meaningful than feeling it at the time then is meaningful because they feel like they’re forcing it rather than just doing it. I’d like to try to explain to you why you feel this way, and it’s actually something that is avoidable but maybe not at first,
. I would also like to offer you different wording than forced. Try to think of it as making a conscious effort to do something you are choosing to start doing now. While everyone wants to think it should be easy, there are far more reasons that it’s not easy than there are for it to be easy.
The issue isn’t that you or anyone else is giving fake gratitude when you feel you have to force it. What you are doing is purposefully noticing something good in your life that normally would go unnoticed and unthanked, and it’s something new you don’t usually do, so you have to force yourself to remember to do it — or like I said, put conscious effort into doing it at the beginning which can make us feel bad for needing the extra effort to do it.
Negative moments take no effort to notice at all because when things bother us, they REALLY bother us. It’s effortless to notice when we stub our toe, when somebody cuts us off in traffic, when we hit every red light, or when we drop the soda we just bought. Those things smack us right in the face with their terribleness.
The issue is that the moments that don’t bother us are not nearly as noticeable as the ones that do. Unfortunately, when things are going good, we overlook them because things are calm… things aren’t disruptive… things are not causing any obvious excitement in a positive way. Sure some things do but it’s rare compared to the everyday good that happens every day we barely notice.
The good things in life that we want to be grateful for do not smack us in the face like the bad stuff does — and that is something to be grateful for — but it’s ,not something that the average person really thinks about.
So in the beginning, when you first start doing your gratitude practice, it is an effort. because making a change and wishing to give attention to good things when they are happening — instead of just at thanksgiving.
So in the beginning, gratitude feels different . Less true maybe because we’re often doing it at a different time than when it happened Not with everything but with some things.
From a very young age, we see people become upset at tiny annoyances, but we rarely see them say, “This moment is a good moment and I should show gratitude for it.” It isn’t modeled, so how would it feel natural to do it later in life when we suddenly choose to? It will feel fake and forced until we are used to doing it. The fact that we have to chose it makes it feel a little less like something we are doing and more like something we seen making up a little.
Don’t forget this: we are not used to noticing alot of little things. They happen when we are on autopilot, and yet every moment that doesn’t upset you could make you happier IF you gave it the attention it deserves. So it’s time to turn off autopilot and BE IN THE MOMENT.
Mindfulness and gratitude go hand-in-hand — to feel what’s going on around you right now, without letting your mind retreat into the past or worry about the future.
I read one person who said that when you’re out in nature and you feel grateful in the moment — for the trees, the air, how alive you feel , that doesn’t feel forced and your right it should feel great because you’re experiencing it as it happens.
But did you always notice it then? And if you now give thanks for that thing does it still feel forced after feeling it the time? You could also be grateful for noticing the grateful feelings. And that’s very valid. At the start we are often choosing thugs we are grateful for but haven’t really given that gratitude in the moment yet. But the fact you have noticed it at all will help that happen.
It’s like injecting gratitude into the past where it had not yet come naturally — it may not feel totally real Yet until the next time you are in nature, the fact that you once wrote you were grateful for it may come to mind in the moment — and that is when you will know your list is working and when you can give the moment the attention and thanks it deserves at the time. And you can be grateful in knowing the list you are writing is working
The more you do it, the easier it becomes — and the easier it becomes, the less it will feel forced. Don’t be mad at yourself if it is something you’ve never done before, and it will take practice before it becomes second nature — but it will.
Try to call it making a conscious effort instead of forced , because that’s what you are doing and no matter what new thing it is you have to make a conscious effort to do anything new. If you choose to start running in the morning, you would have to make that choice. It might not feel easy, but over time it would become normal, and eventually you wouldn’t have to think about it — you would just do it. But at first it would be a conscious effort to do it.
Gratitude will feel unforced once it’s not new anymore. You won’t always have to put in the conscious effort, but while you do, remember: the more you do it, the easier it becomes, and gratitude will become natural.
We think we’re supposed to automatically know how to be grateful, even though almost nobody models it outwardly and yet everybody complains, which is why complaining never feels forced.
I hope this helps you understand why it feels like you’re forcing yourself to be grateful. Just keep doing it, and it will become a part of you.
(Before you all say hey ai wrote this. Sadly it’s true I did put what I wrote into chat gpt to fix spelling and grammar but I gave it strict instructions to use only my words and not to change anything without asking first. And sadly that’s why it kind of repeats some things it’s very hard to choose which of what I said said it better and I asked chat gpt to shuffle it in together better and take out the stuff that repeats keeping the best things I said only 3 times and this is the end result. So I guess maybe chat gpt can’t choose the which is better either. But I’m thankful to have ChatGPT make sure it at least makes sense has less spelling errors ( until I edit its edit) but I promise this came from a human mind every word was mine. Thanks )
