I’ve seen this mentioned in other threads but nothing definitive.
I’m close to purchasing an EV up north and the dealer has said the car was sourced in UK and not used in NI.
However he said I’ll get a SAD certificate which will ensure I’ll not be charged any VAT when brining south.
Has anyone else been in a similar situation and got on OK?
Well folks, I am very excitedly taking the plunge on my first EV - a 2023 Tesla Model Y RWD. Drove one for the first time the other day and felt like I was climbing into a tractor getting back into my current car.
As something of a novice I’d contacted an independent EV battery certifier who contacted the dealer. The dealer is very happy for them to do it but also said he can run the onboard Tesla battery health check.
Any thoughts on whether the independent one (uses the Moba tool) I worth it over and above the onboard Tesla check?
Any other first-time model Y tips also welcome 😁
