I built a free app to lend & borrow books with people in your neighborhood. Would love your feedback!
Hey everyone! 👋
I'm an indie developer working on Book Xchange, a hyperlocal, map-based app for lending and borrowing books with people nearby. Think "Goodreads meets your neighborhood."
IG : @lendandborrowbooks
How it works:
📚 Post the books you're willing to lend
🗺️ Browse what's available near you
⭐ Save books to a wishlist
🤝 Meet up and swap, no shipping, no fees
🔒 Coming soon: Book Protection (not live yet)
Lender-set refundable deposits
Photo check-in of the book's condition at handoff
Deposit released as soon as the book is returned
It's not on the App Store yet, but it's in beta testing. I'd love early users to:
Try it out and tell me what's confusing or missing
Post a few books so the shelves aren't empty for the next person
Say what would make you actually use it
Comment or DM me if you want a beta invite. I'm happy to answer any questions, and honest feedback (even harsh) is welcome.
Thanks for reading! 📖
